Outrage to Cross the Border

Mon, Jun 15th, 2009

The Kalamazoo Outrage (6-0-2) look to extend their unbeaten streak as they play 2 games this week in Canada for the first time in club history. The Outrage travel to Toronto first as they will face the Toronto Lynx (1-4-1) at the Hershey Centre. The following night they will face Forest City London (2-0-3) at the German Canadian Club in London.

The Lynx have struggled out of the gate but the Outrage is taking nothing for granted and have trained hard the last couple of days in preparation for back to back games.  Coach Spooner will be bringing a couple of extra guys along on the trip in case of injuries. The second game is slated to be a tough match up. FC London is in its first season in the PDL and has not lost in their first 5 games. They are still looking for their first win in front of the home crowd which could be the largest the Outrage has played in front of so far.

Kalamazoo will again look to former Bronco Tom Oatley to spearhead the offense as he leads the league with 10 goals and 24 points in 7 games so far this season.

The Outrage will be home again on Saturday the 20th as they take on the Cleveland Internationals with kick-off set for 7:30. Kalamazoo opened the season on the road in Cleveland and came home with a 1-0 win and will look for a similar result on their home turf.

On the Friday night the 19th, the Outrage women (2-1-0) will be at home in a contest against the Midwest Division leading Chicago Red Eleven (4-1-1). Kalamazoo is coming off their second win in three games after defeating the West Michigan Firewomen 1-0 on Saturday evening.

All home games are played at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix High School with tickets available at the gate. Ticket prices are16 & up $3, 8-15 $2 and 7 or younger get in for free.
