2010 Outrage W-League Tryouts

The Kalamazoo Outrage W-League organization would like to invite you to attend tryouts for the 2010 Kalamazoo Outrage W-League Team. The 2010 Outrage season is due to start in early May. The regular season schedule will consist of home and away games versus the teams in our division. In the past, these teams have included: FC Indiana, Cleveland, Chicago, among others. While we cannot tell you much about our 2010 schedule right now, more details on the schedule will be released as they are made available by the United Soccer Leagues. The tryout will consist of 3 sessions, each taking place in the Kalamazoo area. The first tryout session will be on Sunday, January 3rd from 8:30am-10:30am at the Soccerzone on Sprinkle Road (7187 S. Sprinkle Road Portage, MI 49002).  The second and third sessions will take place on two dates in early May. This year, the Outrage Coaching Staff has implemented a Player Commitment-Deposit Program.

USL All League Team

Outrage forward and former WMU Bronco Tom Oatley can add being named to the All League team as well as being a finalist for the league MVP award to his all conference team selection for 2009. Kalamazoo has another finalist in the end of the year awards as head coach Mark Spooner is one of four coaches up for Coach of the Year.

Busy Week for the Kalamazoo Outrage

The Kalamazoo Outrage will play 4 games over a 5 day span this week with 3 of those games being at home. Both Outrage teams look to get back in the action after lengthy early season layoffs, the Ladies last played on May 17th and the men on May 24th.  In the first two weeks of play this season the Men have amassed a 2-0-2 record and have had two players tagged with honorable mention status on the PDL team of the week. First was goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt who gave up 1 goal in week one as the Outrage won one and tied one. In week two Grand Rapids native Dominic Barone scored three goals as the again the Outrage won one and tied one.

2009 Kalamazoo Outrage W-League Tryouts

Todd Wells is excited to announce the times, dates, and location for the 2009 Kalamazoo Outrage W-League tryouts!

MAY 2nd and 3rd, 1pm-4pm

Location:  Battle Creek Lakeview High School(15060 S. Helmer Rd., Battle Creek, MI 49015)

WHAT TO BRING:  Ball, Guards, Shoes, Water, and…

·        Birth Certificate

·        Small, 1 inch x 1inch head photo

·        Insurance information

·        Be prepared to fill out registration information (in case you make the roster)

Outrage Announce 2009 W-League Tryouts

Exceptional competitive women’s soccer lives in the USL W-League, USL’s highest level of women’s soccer in the US and Canada. The 2008 campaign features a 41-team format in four conferences playing 12 or 14 regular season matches. The top women’s players throughout the world compete in the USL W-League through the summer months.  In addition to the league featuring international and former professional stars, elite collegiate players have the opportunity to also compete in the league while maintaining their collegiate eligibility.  The league is recognized throughout the world for providing elite competition for women’s players, while providing affordable family entertainment to many fans in each of the team locations.

The Kalamazoo Outrage Announce Their 2009 Head Coaches

TKO Premier Soccer Club, owner of the Kalamazoo Outrage, has named the head coaches for the 2009 United Soccer Leagues PDL and W-League season.

 

Heading the men’s PDL team will be former Niagara Purple Eagle standout Mark Spooner. 

 

On the W-League side, the Outrage will look to local coach Todd Wells to lead lead the ladies through the 2009 season.
